Please contact Mike Carter if the property is within the incorporated Town of Westcliffe or call 719-783-2282. The Building and Zoning Department is open Tuesday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Inspections may be scheduled by calling (719)783-2282. Inspection requests must be received at least 24 hours before the inspection is to take place. Inspections within 24 hours are not guaranteed.
The stamped approved set of plans and inspection permit card approved set of plans and inspection permit card must be on site at each inspection. In addition the site address and permit sign must be in place. All animals must be secured and a ladder provided where necessary.
The inspector will leave the white copy of the inspection request form on the job site. The form will be marked either approved, disapproved or reinspect. It is the permit holder’s responsibility to make the required corrections and request a re inspection as necessary. Re-inspection fees are a minimum of $47.
The Building Department is located at 305 Main Street, Westcliffe Colorado. The Building Department handles all matters regarding construction in the Town of Westcliffe.
